![]() ![]() If you were to go to a Pinball Arcade, rare these days, but they're out there if you look hard enough. People are bashing this game, and I think that's unfair. I would love to see this developer take on another niche such as older EM tables from Gottlieb (the Bally license is already taken) and provide the same experience. One of these days I plan to purchase and try some of the other content. The developers just did a fabulous job in this department.Įxtra content: I can't really comment on this because I only own all of the original tables (solid state and EM). Additionally, the developers added day/night conditions complete with weather conditions and background noise that really adds to the experience (and if you don't like that kind of stuff you can turn it all off). scratchy, dirty, etc.), reflections, and views is simply unparalleled. The ability to fully customize lighting, the playfield/glass condition (i.e. In conclusion, the ball physics are not ideal, but good enough.Ĭustomization: No other pinball based simulator or game comes close to Zaccaria Pinball in this department. This allowed the "arcade" ball/playfield physics with regular flipper spacing. I found the best to be "user physics" without any changes. The arcade physics feel a bit more real, but the flipper spacing is too close. The "simulated" physics produce a lot of house balls and the ball seems like it has the qualities of a "super ball". This is one area that Zen has the upper hand. Pinball Physics: the ball physics are a bit quirky. The only other simulator that comes close was The Pinball Arcade (which appears to be largely defunct due to the loss of the Williams license). Zaccaria appears to aim at providing a simulated experience. I contrast this from other games like Zen (sure Zen physics might be top of the line and the Williams recreations are just fine, I get irritated with all of the additional crap like added graphics, ball tracers and the like). The faithful recreation and loyalty to the original designs is something that I highly respect. ![]() ![]() I like the developer's devotion to bringing these tables back to life in the realm of modern pinball simulators. The Zaccaria Pinball (defunct since the late 80s I believe) was not something that was available to me (although I do understand that there were a few of them in the US). I grew up playing Gottlieb, Williams/Bally, and Stern pinball tables. RTX 2070 Super) the simulator really shines with all of the bells and whistles (which is how a true pinball enthusiast would want it).Ĭontent: This is where this simulator (I don't consider it a game) shines. RTX 3050Ti, etc) it performs well as long as you don't max all of the settings. Performance: On a moderately performing system (i.e. I initially bought Zaccaria Pinball way back when it was first released on IOS and eventually purchased it on Steam. Would definitely recommend Zaccaria Pinball to the pinball enthusiast (who probably already have it) and those who want to see what it was like to be in the 70's & 80's when pinball was still a thing. ![]()
